When Dr. Coleman was in dental school the first denture he made didn’t look very good, the second one didn’t fit very good. This caused him to understand that he was not going to be able to make dentures from reading the book or listening to lectures. So he got with the head of the denture department, Dr. Dewey Bell, and started following him around. The next denture case was for a woman who had a severe underbite and had never before been able to use dentures successfully. Dr. Bell advised the inexperienced but eager to learn young dental student step by step and taught him how to make dentures successfully. The patient of course was very happy and all the other members of the denture faculty wanted to see the completed case.
Upon graduation from dental school, even though dentures were Dr. Coleman’s primary area of interest, it was impossible at that time to have a denture practice in the state of Virginia because advertising was illegal. When this law was finally changed and advertising was allowed, a dental practice focusing primarily on dentures was made possible. Over many years and many thousands of denture patients Dr. Coleman developed the expertise required for success. In recent years the introduction of relatively inexpensive implants for retention of lower dentures has dramatically increased denture patient satisfaction.

Our office is the longest existing one day denture practice in the state of Virginia. We have provided complete dentures with extractions when necessary to many thousands of people. We also provide high quality cast metal partial dentures, which take about two to three weeks to complete. Our goal is to provide complete, affordable dental solutions for each of our patients.

We are able to produce 3D printed dentures now start to finish in a matter of just a few days in our in-house lab right on premises with the newest digital equipment and materials available. 3D printed digital denture bases and teeth represent the future of this industry, and we are excited to be able to provide this emerging technology to our patients.
